Shay bumped Judi back and spun around, going back the way she’d came and glancing around the campus. “Isn’t there some sort of sports field of something around here? That would be an okay place to get drunk.” she muttered.
Judi hummed. “I think there is one, by the gym. So, that way,” she pointed and shifted course slightly. She looked to Shay. “I should probably warn you, I’m a weirdly bubbly drunk. You?”
Hank laughed heartily at her dare, grateful that it wasn’t anything to do with abilities. “Oh you will regret that, I mean, have you met that girl, Shay? Well my singing has a very similar effect to hers” He grinned, going quiet for a second to hear what the next song was. Party in the USA, of course it would be something like that. He didn’t know all the words, but Hank still sang it enthusiastically, ignoring the complaints for literally everyone else in the bar. “I think I could go professional” He said after the song had finished, chuckling to himself
She muffled her laughter in her hand, poorly, the entire time. She slapped at his arm weakly. “Stop, I can’t breathe!” The song finished soon after and then she leaned on the bar counter with, somehow, a wider grin. “Okay firstly, Shay is my roommate, so I can say with certainty that your voice rivals hers,” Judi giggled. “Oh my god, we are so drunk right now.”
"…I still can’t believe it."
"Do I have to pick just one?"
"Hah, yeah, no. No way I’m letting myself go down that rabbit hole."
"That’s the plan… eventually."
Oh yeah, this is a school Hank thought to himself. With everything that had happened in the past few days, he’d pretty much completely forgotten that he was still supposed to be learning stuff here “Yeah, uh, course you can, I mean, I suck at studying, but I can try”
She grinned at his obvious moment of confusion. “When you say ‘suck’, I’m gonna need you to define that. Scale of one to ten?” She asked, gesturing with her hands before another thought occurred. “Actually, how did you do schooling in, you know, the hospital?”
